California Department of Fish and Game
The Department of Fish and Game maintains native fish,
wildlife, plant species and natural communities for their
intrinsic and ecological value and their benefits to people.
This includes habitat protection and maintenance in a sufficient
amount and quality to ensure the survival of all species and
natural communities. The department is also responsible for the
diversified use of fish and wildlife including recreational,
commercial, scientific and educational uses.
Wildlife Rehab Listings
When finding an injured animal, its important you know
who to contact for information on what to do and where to
bring the animal. This site provides listings of wildlife
rehabilitators/centers by state and country. If a specific
contact person in your area is not found in these listings,
call your local Game & Fish Department, Animal Control Officer,
Humane Society, or veterinarian. These individuals often will know
of local wildlife rehabilitation facilities and can give you their numbers.
Note: Use the links for U.S. and Outside U.S. contacts.
