Dog Park Rules
From Seal Beach Municipal Code Section 7.05.120
VIOLATION OF THESE RULES WILL BE GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT EXPULSION FROM THE USE OF THE DOG PARK AND REVOCATION OF A DOG PERMIT.
- Each dog must be chaperoned by a responsible adult.
- Not more than three dogs per responsible adult.
- Dogs must be on leash outside of the fenced area.
- All dogs must be licensed by the city where they live.
- Non-residents must obtain an annual dog park permit from the City of Seal Beach.
- Owners must prevent their dogs from attacking or biting other persons or dogs.
- The following dogs cannot be brought into the dog park:
- A dog less than 4 months old.
- A dog in heat.
- A vicious animal.
- A dog with a communicable illness, infection, fleas, or parasites.
- A dog that is currently under quarantine or that has previously been under quarantine by order of the animal control officer.
- The following are prohibited in the dog park:
- Food (irrespective of whether the food is intended for consumption by humans,
dogs, or other species). - Dog treats.
- Glass containers.
- Alcohol.
- Children’s toys.
- Sports equipment.
- Food (irrespective of whether the food is intended for consumption by humans,
- Smoking is prohibited in the dog park and within 20 feet of the perimeter of the dog park.
- Dog feces must be picked up by owners.
- Spike collars, pinch collars and choke collars are not permitted.
- Dogs should not be permitted to dig holes.
